General Rules - Game Attendence - Jackson Soccer Club
There are certain guidelines that are expected of parents, players, and coaches that are members of the Jackson Soccer Club. The Expectations (as outlined in the Guidelines) of each of these groups are a first part of this process. Game attendance is a reflection of each team, not just for the teams support, but the spectators also set an example for the players. We are also representatives of our community and our Club.

When in a game environment, players, parents/guardians, and coaches should be mindful that they have signed a contract with each other to be good sportspersons, not just boosters for our team and Club. To follow are additional “General Rules” club members and guests must be mindful of, not just form a safety perspective, but as a common courtesy.

  1. When observing the game, all persons and objects (chairs, coolers, balls, backpacks, tents, umbrellas, blankets, toys, etc.) are to be a minimum of five feet from the touchline.
  2. Confrontation with a player, parent, coach, or official is strictly prohibited by all parties, and may result in a referral to the Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee may determine disciplinary action is required.
  3. All JSC teams will possess a tournament ball, and this ball must be available and maintained (proper inflation at game time, in very good to like-new condition, etc.) for game use.
  4. Teams come to games with proper team-uniform warm-up apparel, two different colored (home & away) uniform jerseys, uniform socks, and shorts as determined by the Uniform Committee. Shin guards, appropriate refreshment (water or sport drink), approved cleats/boots, goal keeper gloves, jerseys, and other team wear as determined by the Coach.
  5. Teams and Coaches must be available a minimum of 30 minutes before the start of any game.
  6. At no time is a Club member to taunt, deride, or insult any person engaged in game play.
  7. Parents should not coach children from the touchline during tournament or competitive play, this is the responsibility of the coaching staff. Correcting, disrupting, insulting, harassing, or other verbal or nonverbal instruction to a child other than your own, may result in a referral to the Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee may determine disciplinary action is required.
  8. All members are expected to be behave in a disciplined and sportsmanship-like manner at all times.
  9. Pets are to be controlled at all times by their owner, and any refuse created by a pet is to be removed from the venue.
